Our Requirements:

Now that you have chosen the type of gauge that you wish to have mounted on your tank, it is important that we have as much information about your tank as possible. The more accurate the information you provide, the more accurate the gauge will be.

The measurements that we require from you are internal tank measurements, the thickness of the tank itself will cause an inaccuracy in the readings of the gauge.

It is vital that you tell us the height of the entry point where you plan to mount your gauge. This point will effectively be zero on the instrument.

Also just as vital is the specific gravity (S.G) of the liquid contained in the tank, as some liquids are heavier than others. Providing us with the wrong information can cause the gauge readings to be incorrect.

We also need to know the length of capillary you will require between the tank and the instrument and remember; when installing your gauge, be sure to always use 'sweeping curves' in the capillary of a 6" diameter or more. This will prevent any kinks in the capillary blocking the system.

Below are three descriptions of different tanks. Each description has a link to that particular Tanks Questionnaire sheet. Choosing the correct Tank Questionnaire sheet to suit your tank is very important as the shape of the tank will effect the scale of the dial.
